Hyla, Yo on E!'s producer and on-air personality, came of age in Orlando at the height of the boy-band era and has the pictures of himself with frosted tips to prove it. He started his radio career producing for Orlando's number-one-rated Doc & Johnny Morning Show, as well as developing and hosting his own cutting-edge radio show called That Damn Saturday Night Show, which centered on music, pop culture and the Internet. He went on to be the executive producer and personality for The Cindy and Ray Show in Atlanta, and helped make it the first Top 40 show in the country to broadcast from Iraq. After his success in terrestrial radio, he brings his humor, commentary and love for all things entertainment to Yo on E!.
Name: Hyla, short for Hylarious
Birthday: Oct. 25
Where I'm From: Detroit, Orlando...and Poland
What's the Deal with My Name: Who needs more than one?
First Job: Got fired from Chick-fil-A for not showing up to work at 16—I was tired of eating chicken nuggets all day.
Best Radio Moment: Donald Trump called me on my cell phone, trying set up a radio interview. Not his assistant, not his people, the Donald! I think he was calling me from his gold-plated helicopter.
Most Surefire Radio Topic Ever: Britney Spears—everyone loves a good mess.
Most Famous Person I've Ever Hooked Up With: Myself.
Celebrity Crush: Since turning 18, Hayden Panettiere is definitely my biggest crush. Tied with Mandy Moore, triple-tied with Sarah Silverman.
Song I Play When I'm Working Out: Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone." Guy, girl, black, white, gay or straight, everybody sings this song when it comes on the radio!
East Coast or West Coast: Neither—Midwest!
The Thing I Say About Yo When He's Not Around: We work together, we live together—he's never not around!
Quote: Get it outta here.
Best Friends: iTunes and Sara the Manager.
What I'm Watching: The Office, Grey's, Entourage and PTI.
Who I Cheer For: Michigan, Pistons, Red Wings, Tigers, Braves and Lions (if I had a reason to cheer).
What's in My iPod: I've been listing to Lily Allen a lot and Kanye West; 2 Many DJs is a great mashup CD I picked up in London over the summer, and you can't go wrong with old-school Weezer and Snoop Dogg.
Addiction: My BlackBerry.
Best Movie of All Time: Back to the Future. Who would have thought that 1.21 gigawatts would be so hard to find in 1955?
Habit I Should Break: I need to grow up and stop checking my MySpace. But what if I get a new friend request? Never mind.
Required Viewing: All men should watch every episode of Sex and the City. It's the guide to understanding women. I can't wait for the movie.
Can't Go One Day Without: Talking to my family. I love my Babcia the most (look it up).
