Pajama Party:

There's much to-do about Hef often being seen in pajamas. As a kid he liked staying around the house in his PJs. And now that he's a media mogul and millionaire, he gets to do what he wants. He actually goes through about three outfits a day. At night he sleeps in flannel pajamas. During the day he changes into his "business pajamas," usually gunmetal black. And at night he bases the outfit's color on the event at hand. Of course, if he's attending a premiere or outside party, formal attire is a must.

All He Wants Is a Pepsi:

Hef likes to eat what he likes. It's as simple as that. If he's going out to eat with Holly, Kendra and Bridget, someone will make sure to call ahead to see if they have something that he would like, prepared the way he likes it. If they go out for, say, sushi (which Hef doesn't like), he'll have his food prepared at home and brought to the restaurant so he can still be social. Hef is also known for keeping Pepsi in business by drinking a lot of it every day. After 5 p.m., it might become a Pepsi with Jack Daniel's.

Home Alone? Not Quite:

For Hef's girlfriends, there are some rules to follow. You aren't just dating one of the most charming and powerful men in the world, you're part of Hef's image as a public figure and corporate icon. Therefore Holly, Kendra and Bridget have a 9 p.m. (okay, 9 p.m.-ish) curfew if they are out without Hef. So, if they're in, say, Vegas, without him, they better hope the private jet makes good time.

Dude Ranch:

While Hef opens his doors to many people all year long, there is a certain etiquette guests should obey. Beautiful girls are always welcome (of course), but usually with an escort. But if you're a guy or you want to invite another guy to the Mansion, you need approval from Hef himself. Hey, you don't become the ultimate Playboy for nothin'.

Word Play:

The word Playmate refers to the 12 gorgeous women who appear each year as the legendary centerfolds in Playboy magazine. Marilyn Monroe was the first in this long line of beautiful models, but because the term Playmate had not yet been coined, she was known as the "Sweetheart of the Month." Hef's current three girlfriends--Holly, Bridget and Kendra--have not (to date) been Playmates.

All in a Week's Work:

The Sunday Movie Nights are legendary: screenings of first-run films with about 60 or so guests. But the rest of the week isn't left out of the theme thing. Monday is known as Manly Night, which is a gathering of older friends watching classics from the '40s (and the only night Hef lets others pick the flick). Wednesdays are a high-class poker night. Friday and Saturday are more exclusive movie nights. And Tuesday and Thursday are reserved for time between Hef and Holly, Kendra and Bridget--they either stay in and play board games or hit the town.

Who Needs Blockbuster?

Just how does Hef have all of those movies on hand? A fan of classic movies and documentaries, Hef is a dedicated film collector. He currently has over 4,000 movies in his library on three-quarter tape or DVD. There's a full-time staff of people in a control room taping and TiVo-ing better versions of old movies, documentaries, history programs, etc. There's also a staff whose primary job is to transfer film from three-quarter tape to DVD.

Be Cool:

Yes, there are some wild goings-on at the parties, but Hef prides himself on making the Mansion a fun, safe place for everyone. In other words: Don't act like a sleazebag or else you're outta here. "Enjoy yourself and have fun, but make sure to respect everyone around you, especially the girls," says Burns. "After all, there are rules in paradise."
