Scarlett & Ryan Engaged!

Ryan Reynolds has more than Scarlett fever—he has a Scarlett fiancée.
Reps for both Scarlett Johansson and Reynolds confirm to E! News that the blond bombshell and her actor beau are engaged.
No further details, including when the question was popped, the size of her rock or whether they've set a wedding date, have been announced.
However, a source close to Johansson tells E! News that the couple have actually been betrothed "for a little while," and they have kept the engagement on the down-low because "they want to keep things private."
The 23-year-old actress and soon-to-be recording artist and the 31-year-old Definitely, Maybe star first stepped out publicly together in April 2007, just two months after Reynolds and fellow Canadian Alanis Morissette called off their own lengthy engagement.
Johansson, for her part, was previously linked to Josh Hartnett.
While we're not sure how Reynolds delivered the ring to his future missus, he may have gained inspiration from his latest movie, which costars Sandra Bullock and is rather aptly named The Proposal.

I was still holding out that he'd go back to Alanis, but alas, it seems that something was fishy surrounding their breakup and his immediate hookup with Scarlett. Oh well. Kudos to them.

Of course they look beautiful.....either apart or together. How can she possibly know, at 23 years old, that THIS is the guy she wants for the rest of her life. Maybe we should just see marriage as a "Mr. * Mrs. Right Now", instead of just plain right. I wish them all the luck in the world.

barbwire7, who are you to decide at what age a person is old enough to decide when to get married? I got engaged at 21 and was married when I was 23. With how temporary marriage seems to be in Hollywood, I wouldn't be surprised if they either called it off or got divorced later on, but they're certainly not as scandalous as many other celebrities and I wish them all the best.

Scarlett is SOOOO much more talented and successful than Ryan Reynolds! This is not the perfect match at all. She deserves someone much better!
