Spears Sisters' Shower Reunion A-OK!

All it took for a family reunion was an unexpected family addition.
Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears met up in their hometown of Kentwood, La., over the weekend, the first face-to-face for the sibs since last October. The nonpregnant sister was one of nearly two dozen female friends who convened at Serenity, the estate owned by the pop star but inhabited by her sister and mother, Lynne, to herald the delivery of her niece-to-be.
And, per usual, OK! magazine was on hand to document the to-do, which was organized and hosted by mama Lynne.
"It was wonderful to be able to spend time with her and just be girls again," the 17-year-old expectant mother said of her sisterly reunion. "We painted our nails and did stupid stuff, and we had our private time too. To be able to be in the privacy of our own home and just be sisters again was wonderful."
"She just ran up," she said of the Britster's greeting. "She obviously couldn't pick me up. We gave each other a big hug. It was a really good feeling."

Jamie Lynn said their initial conversation was exactly what you'd expect sisters to say to each other: "I love you. I've missed you. It's so good to see you."
Regardless of whether she's in the best position to be dispensing motherly advice, Britney also had a few words of wisdom to share with her kid sis.
"She said, 'There are going to be some long nights, but it's completely worth it,' " Jamie Lynn recounted.
As for baby daddy Casey Aldridge, Jamie Lynn said he already has Britney's seal of approval.
"She loves Casey. She's met him a bunch of times. They were riding four-wheelers and stuff together. They get along real well."
As for the engaged couple, Jamie Lynn said they had no immediate plans to tie the knot, but that after the baby girl, due in June and as yet unnamed, is born and "things settle down," a wedding will be her "first priority."
Not such a top priority: getting back to work.
"I am so focused on the baby that hasn't even occurred to me. You never know what may happen a year from now. There is the possibility I'll go back, but right now, I just want to be a good mom.
"More than anything, I just want this baby to have a normal life."

How much money did Mom Spears get for selling the story to US mag? I know she's getting one million for pictures of daughter Jamie's expected baby when she's born. It's all about money with papa & mama Spears.

Congratulations Jamie Lynn! I wish you all the luck in the world! I don't get the haters because at the end of the day you are bringing a baby into the world which is the most normal thing for us to do! Go girl! You rock and I think you and Casey will be great parents regardless of your age! Looking forward to the day we say "Hi" to Aldridge junior! Luv ya!

I hope Britney has enough sense to keep her mouth shut; she is NOT one to be lecturing on being a mother. What a screwed up family.

So will we be told who the real dad is? I say it's the older guy from the Zoey show. The "picked daddy fiance" doesn't show much interest. He must have been paid to step in. It all doesn't fit right.cover-up.

Ya this kind of coverage is just what my eleven year old zoey 101 fan daughter needs to see. Im not old fashioned in any sense of the word but if this were an average sixteen year old girl, do you really think mama would be hosting babyshowers?? Im from down south too and im not naive enough to think that kids are younger and younger when theyre having kids, but good gracious people. Whatever happened to role modles exhibiting good judgement, where are the younger girls who I know are out there, who are choosing not to have sex and why arent we celebrating them on the covers of magazines? Just my two cents.

Yeah real clear head! Pregnant at 17! She's one **** of a role model for all those kids on Nickelodeon. Having a ******* child at the age of 17. Yeah, she's a real smart one.

Oh yes, give more publicity to the unwed mother. That's who I want my 15 yr. old to follow. Lynne Spears you sure know how to raise your daughters, NOT!

She is 17 and pregnant get over it. It happens everyday and she sure is not the first, she won't be the last. She is trying to do what is right. The one's worried about her being a role model, maybe you should try being the role model instead of looking for another kid to be. That's right she is a kid and the parents put way to much on her shoulders. She isn't responsible for your kids or their actions, that is your job. Also maybe you should take this and use it as opening with your teenage daughters about not having sex. And about her mom throwing the baby shower, why not? Should she disown her, not support her, condem her for eternity. I was 17 when I got pregnant and my mom was by my side every step of the way and i thank her everyday, that is what a mother does. And she hosted my baby shower too. Does that make her bad mother, no it makes her a good one.

I'm not saying teen pregnancy is a good thing, but if your kids are in high school, they have seen friends and school mates go through the same thing as Jamie. If your kids are younger than that they don't need to be on the computer reading E! Online or reading rag mags. Nobody should have the responsiblitly of being a role model for your kids..except yourself.

I think it's great that Jamie Lynn is actually stepping up and going to be a mother, because she could have just got an abortion without anyone knowing, and just go back to her job on her show, she made a mistake and she is owning up to it. I think people are naive if they think that their kids at 16, 17 aren't having sex, everyone needs to stop saying she's a bad person because she's 17 and having a baby, she at least is trying to make good from the mistake that she made, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. just remember this, your calling her bad names today but what are you going to say when your daughter comes to you at 17 and tells you she's pregnant, are you gonna call your daughter names, hmmmmm?
