Burning Q's: Madonna's Crib Gorging & Becks' Dent
How many houses do celebrities usually own?
—Becca
At least three: One on the West Coast, one on the East and one in a lavishly rarified area like Lake Como in Italy or Primrose Hill in London. Or, if you're Julia Roberts, one of your homes is a ranch in Taos, N.M., because you're all-American like that.
When I say at least three, I mean just that. Madonna owns a reported six—six—homes in London, and at least two of those are occupied by staff. She also has pads in New York and Los Angeles.
Are there any A-listers (or B-listers, since A-listers are so few and far between) who don't smoke?

Teens Give It Up for Gossip Girl, Jonas Boys
The question now is, can Justin keep up with the Jonases?
Hot on the trail of a certain hunky pop star, the Jonas Brothers took home six ceremonial surfboards Sunday at the 10th Annual Teen Choice Awards, aka TC08, giving the fraternal rockers just 15 more to go until they match Justin Timberlake's grand total of 21 collected over the last decade.
More than 30 million Internet-savvy youngsters, preferably between the ages of 13 and 19, deemed the dapper trio Choice Breakout Band, Male Hotties and Male Red Carpet Icons, as well as the purveyors of the Choice Single ("When You Look Me in the Eyes," beating out Timberlake), Summer Song ("Burnin' Up") and Love Song ("When You Look Me in the Eyes").
Joe, Nick and Kevin's tally was matched only by the CW's teen soap with claws Gossip Girl, which also notched six wins (on a bedpost, naturally): Choice TV Drama, Breakout Show, breakout acting nods for Chace Crawford and Blake Lively (who was also named best actress in a drama) and top villain for the diabolical Ed Westwick.
"I feel like I'm still a teenager, because I'm perpetually in high school," Crawford, 23, said backstage.
Casting Couch: J.Lo Makes Like Mary Poppins; SVU Probes Luke Perry; Becks, Alba on Sesame Street
Life with twins is making Jennifer Lopez run for The Governess.
The supposedly nanny-averse actress has lined up a new postmaternity-leave project, E! News has confirmed, a romantic comedy about a professional thief who passes herself off as a nanny to a wealthy widower with three rowdy children so she can pull off the score of a lifetime. And—surprise!—she begins to fall for the family and reconsider her life of crime.
The Governess reunites her with screenwriter Kevin Wade, who penned her 2002 box-office hit, Maid in Manhattan. The script was cowritten by Wendy Braff with a polish by Don Roos. Director Nigel Cole (Calendar Girls) will roll cameras in Massachusetts in October.
Becks vs. LiLo: A Flashbulb Face-Off in NYC
If Lindsay Lohan ever decides to keep a lower profile, she should consider spending more time around David Beckham.
Lohan and her gal-pal Samantha Ronson were on the same flight to New York today as the soccer hunk.
When the two girls got to the luggage carousel, there wasn't much fuss: Some kids asked for autographs and a single paparazzo snapped some pics.
Then Beckham sauntered to the carousel...
TomKat: The British Are Coming!
While some celebrated the holiday weekend with a Budweiser, the Cruise family enjoyed theirs with Becks.
E! News has learned that David and Victoria Beckham, along with their sons, flew to Telluride, Colo., on Saturday afternoon to spend part of the weekend with Tom Cruise and family.
How's It Hanging, David Beckham?
Even David Beckham is impressed by how massive he looks in those Emporio Armani ads.
On his blog, he writes about going to the big unveiling in San Francisco: "To be honest I was amazed by the huge billboard poster outside Macy’s department store, but even more amazed by the amount of people who turned up to see it! I’m always surprised by the amount of attention certain things create."
True. Hard to believe anyone would take a brief moment to note a giant in underpants looming over the city, right?
It's a Posh & Becks World, After All
Visitors to Disneyland got a little Posh and Becks with their Mickey and Minnie Wednesday, when Victoria and David Beckham brought their brood to the popular Anaheim, Calif., theme park.
No word on what rides and attractions the family took in during their six-hour tour of the happiest place on earth.
But Posh, apparently, felt right at home with the animatronic characters.
Suri Cruise: Hostess With the Mostest (Toys)
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' new Beverly Hills palace served as ground zero for an A-list playdate Sunday.
A source tells E! News Suri Cruise was joined by David and Victoria Beckham's brood—Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz—for the kid-superstar summit.
The tots broke for dinner at about 5 p.m. after tooling around in miniature cars, including a small-fry-size John Deere truck and Escalade.
Becks Turns Up the Heat
David Beckham attends the opening of Hell's Kitchen star Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant, The London West Hollywood, hungry for more than attention.
Turns out the Beckhams are tremendous foodies and longtime friends of Ramsay. Posh may look like she only eats a few kernels of flaxseed every day, but Ramsay says the power couple can power their way through good food. And, he adds, David is quite the chef himself.
A gorgeous man who cooks? We now forgive you for that dorky outfit, Becks!
Stars Come Out (on Tape) for Tom & Oprah, Part 2
Oh, so that's why some people gave a flying fizz about Tom Cruise's opinion on postpartum depression. He used to just be the hot guy (with pretty decent acting chops) in the movies.
Day two of the star's sit-down with Oprah Winfrey—his first interview with the daytime queen since he flipped his lid for Katie Holmes—got down to business in honor of Cruise's 25th anniversary as a cinematic leading man.
With the down-to-earth, "real guy" stuff having been hashed out already at TomKat's Telluride, Colo., getaway last week, today's installment of The Oprah Winfrey Show featured taped kudos from Cruise's past costars (Renée Zellweger, Jamie Foxx, Dustin Hoffman, Dakota Fanning) and miscellaneous superstar pals (cuteness alert: Posh & Becks saw Jerry Maguire on the night of their first kiss, and their future neighbor later gave David Beckham his "you had me at hello" jacket—"and he hasn't taken it off since," Victoria said), as well as the star's own musings on a career well done.
Well, for the most part.
Some highlights:
Sightings: Lance, Lindsay and Sienna
MIAMI HEAT: Lance Bass, letting the sparks fly as he celebrated his birthday with friends, including CAA superagent Kevin Huvane, at Dek23 in South Beach with P.i.n.k. vodka VIP bottle service throughout the night.
GOOD SPORT: David Beckham, picking up gear at the Adidas store in Santa Monica.
LOST VEGAS: Michelle Rodriguez, partying at the Bank nightclub in the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
BAKER'S DOZEN: Lindsay Lohan, picking up a bag of bagels and a turkey sandwich with extra mayo at Noah’s Bagels in Larchmont Village in L.A.
Sighting: It's a Mall World for Posh
Victoria Beckham hit the shopping mall yesterday with sons Romeo and Cruz.
The Beckhams, along with David's mum, spent yesterday afternoon at the Grove mall in Los Angeles. The British brood hit Abercrombie & Fitch, and the boys enjoyed some ice cream, too.
However, the shopping stopped when the group popped into Nordstrom department store to pick up Ugg boots for Romeo and Cruz. While a salesperson said Posh had "bought a bunch of Uggs last time she was here," this time the store was all sold out.
Maybe that's what the boys wished for when mommy gave them coins to throw in the mall fountain.
