Jasmine's Ex Wants to Be a Family Guy
Jasmine Guy's husband may be preparing to lose his wife, but he isn't giving up his daughter without a fight.
Responding to his estranged wife's April 3 divorce petition, Terrence Duckett has filed court documents requesting joint custody of the duo's 9-year-old daughter, Imani Guy Duckett.
In her original court filing, which cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, Guy requested primary legal and physical custody.
Judge Won't Pin Hulk in Jail
This round goes to Hulk Hogan.
A Florida judge has helped the wrestling star pin his estranged wife between a rock and a hard place, ruling that, at this point, he cannot send Hogan to jail for failing to shell out $4.2 million for a Las Vegas condo as he agreed to buy in 2005.
"It should be obvious to everyone by now that Terry Bollea was never going to be held in contempt for challenging an irresponsible transaction," Hogan attorney David Houston said Friday, using his client's legal name.
"Those who bought into the spin from Linda Bollea's attorneys that this was even a remote possibility should think twice the next time they try to work them."
Brinkley, Cook Can't Make a Deal, Trial Resumes
It looks like Christie Brinkley will have to pray a little harder.
The supermodel's salacious divorce trial resumed this afternoon, after a four-hour-plus delay failed to produce a settlement with estranged hubby Peter Cook.
"We're going back into trial...I still remain very hopeful," Brinkley told reporters as she walked back into the courthouse at 2:45 p.m.
Brinkley Trial Shut Down Amid Settlement Talk
Some unexpected downtime is giving the Uptown Girl hope for a quick end to her getting-uglier-by-the-second divorce and custody trial.
New York Supreme Court Justice Robert S. Cohen temporarily halted the case at the behest of attorneys for Christie Brinkley and her estranged husband Peter Cook.
The lawyers declined to discuss whether a deal was imminent—or even in the works—but upon leaving the Long Island courthouse, Brinkley told reporters a settlement "is what I'm praying for."

Linda Hogan Still Wants Hulk in Jail; Wrestler's Camp Calls Her "Greedy, Delusional"
As far as Linda Hogan is concerned, if her hubby's unwilling to spend his millions on this Las Vegas condominium, he can save his pennies for the jail canteen.
Hulk Hogan's soon-to-be ex-wife was back in court today to press her argument that the former wrestling star should be held in contempt of court for failing to close the deal on a $4.3 million condo they had been planning to buy.
Make him comply, Hogan (who's legal last name is Bollea) said, or else lock him up.
"We asked the judge to either force him to close and if he won't, to put him in jail," Linda's lawyer, A.J. Barranco, exclusively told E! News Tuesday.
The former Hogan Knows Best matriarch first filed her grievance in Pinellas County Family Court in early June.
But one of her estranged husband's attorneys, David Houston, agrees with his client (whose real name is Terry Bollea) that now isn't the best time to be rushing into a big-ticket purchase.
Shrink: Brinkley, Cook Got Issues
Here's a brilliant analysis: Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook need therapy.
Such was the learned opinion of a Manhattan psychiatrist appointed to evaluate the couple in the run-up to their tabloid-friendly divorce trial, and who made his findings known in a Long Island courtroom today.
Charisma Carpenter Hammers Home Divorce
Charisma Carpenter's marriage is no more.
A judge signed off last week on the former Angel star's divorce from hubby Damian Hardy, officially ending their five-year union.
The duo tied the knot, with a prenuptial agreement, Oct. 5, 2000. Carpenter filed for the split Aug. 2, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason.
Brinkley: All I Ever Wanted Was a Big Happy Family
Christie Brinkley was back on the stand Monday for a tearful day three in her divorce and custody case.
Resuming testimony that began Thursday, the 54-year-old Uptown Girl played up her mothering credentials to the Long Island court, portraying herself as a much better caretaker for her kids than estranged husband Peter Cook, who admitted to having an affair with an 18-year-old staffer and a $3,000-a-month online porn habit during their marriage.
"The role of family to me is the most important thing," Brinkley told the court, while choking back sobs.
"I'm sorry I'm crying right now, but the only thing I've ever wanted was a big happy family."

A-Rod's Wife Files for Divorce, Says Slugger "Emotionally Abandoned" Family
Mighty A-Rod has just whiffed.
The estranged wife of Yankee star Alex Rodriguez filed for divorce Monday in Miami, seeking to dissolve their five-and-a-half-year union.
"The marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken because of the husband's extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct," Cynthia Rodriguez's petition reads, adding that the slugger had "emotionally abandoned his wife and children."
"[She] has exhausted every effort to salvage the marriage." (View the petition.)
While citing numerous alleged infidelities committed by the baseball superstar, C-Rod did not specifically mention Madonna in court papers, after a week of media reports suggesting the Queen of Pop and Rodriguez may have carried on an illicit affair.
Brinkley Feels "Really Badly" for the Other Woman
Christie Brinkley has been through a lot—and she still has a lot to go through—but she hasn't lost her ability to empathize.
"I'd just like to say after two days of testimony that I can't help but think about Diana Bianchi, and I want her and her family to know that I feel really badly for them," the jilted former supermodel said after court Thursday, referring to the woman who was a teenager when she had an affair with Brinkley's soon-to-be ex-husband, Peter Cook.
"I feel bad for her and I forgive her completely."
Brinkley testified earlier today that she learned about the affair from Bianchi's policeman stepfather.
"Today was really difficult reliving all the horrors" of that time, she told reporters outside the courthouse.
Testimony is scheduled to resume Monday.
Madonna's Mother-in-Law: "There Is No Divorce"
Mothers-in-law are such a pain. Always slipping the kids candy or messing up your kitchen. Or talking to the press about deeply personal marital issues that you’d rather not see published in tabloids all over the world.
Guy Ritchie’s mom reportedly told the Daily Mail that despite rumors, Guy and Madonna “are not getting divorced,” adding rather Britishly, “The speculation is TT—that’s total tosh.”
We imagine Madonna will let Lady Amber Leighton know that it’s also NOYB—that’s none of your business.
Judge OKs Bill Murray Divorce
Bill Murray got a quickie.
A judge in Charleston, S.C., has signed off on a divorce settlement between the comic actor and his wife of more than 10 years, less than a month and a half after she filed her petition.
