"Shattered" Brinkley Takes Stand in Divorce Trial
Dealing with the fallout of her husband's betrayal didn't feel like a death to just Christie Brinkley, it felt like one to her friends, too.
The erstwhile cover girl took the stand during the second day of testimony in her public divorce trial from philandering architect Peter Cook Thursday, testifying as to her confrontation with Cook and subsequent reaction after learning of his affair with an 18-year-old staffer.
"I just said to Peter, 'How could you?' " she said on the stand, making her testimony all the more poignant by choosing that moment to look at Cook head-on for the first time in the two-day trial.

Kravitz Joins Madonna in Ramming A-Rod Rumors
What a tangled web we weave when first we talk about Madonna's men.
While the Queen of Pop, fresh off a happy and photo op-ready reunion with hubby Guy Ritchie, already took pains to disavow anything more than a platonic relationship between herself and Yankee star Alex Rodriguez, a blast from Madge's past is joining in the denial act, this time concerning a rumored relationship with Rodriguez's suddenly estranged wife.
"There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself," Lenny Kravitz said in a statement today. "This is unequivocally 100 percent not true."
Brinkley Case Turns to Porn, Hush Money
Christie Brinkley wanted her divorce trial to be open to the public to ensure nothing was kept private. She should be careful what she wishes for.
Neither Brinkley's attorneys nor estranged hubby Peter Cook left any sordid stone unturned when the confessed philanderer testified as the case's first witness today.
Chief among the revelations from the 49-year-old architect's testimony was the admission that after sleeping with his then-18-year-old employee Diana Bianchi for the first time—in his office, no less—he paid her $300,000 in hopes she would keep their affair under wraps.
Money not that well spent, as it turns out.
D-Day Arrives for Christie Brinkley
Somehow, "messy" just doesn't seem to cover it.
The divorce trial of Christie Brinkley and her soon-to-be-ex fourth husband is shaping up to be ugly as both parties appear in a Long Island courtroom this morning for the first day of proceedings, including a supporting turn by the other woman.
Charlie Sorry for Dropping an N-Bomb on Denise
Charlie Sheen is sorry for slurring his speech. For the most part.
Although the N-bomb, multiple F-words and one of the nastier misogynist terms Sheen used in two voicemails left for Denise Richards in April 2005 were fully documented as part of their divorce proceedings, recently revealed audio recordings of the messages prompted the sitcom star to apologize for blowing his top in such a vile manner.
"I deeply apologize by my choice of words to all I have obviously offended, especially to Tony Todd, an African American, who was my best man at my first two weddings," Sheen said in a statement released Wednesday by his publicist.
Reese 'n' Ryan's Marriage Formally Falls to Pieces
Reese Witherspoon is finally a single girl. Aside from that whole dating Jake Gyllenhaal thing.
Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe's divorce was finalized in Los Angeles Superior Court Thursday, with court papers obtained by E! News indicating that financial and custodial settlements between the ex-couple have been reached.
The no-frills—and sadly, no details—document simply reads: "[The court finds] the parties have settled all their remaining issues in these proceedings."
Another Hogan Headed to Jail?
Linda Hogan may be a cougar, but she's hired a legal pit bull.
The estranged wife of Hulk Hogan has asked a Florida judge to hold the former wrestler in contempt of court for failing to ante up his share of a $4.2 million Las Vegas condo the duo agreed to purchase prior to their separation.
The property was in escrow when they filed for divorce, and a judge at the time ordered both sides to pay half and then include the Palms Hotel pad among their joint assets. While the missus has made good on her share of the payment, the Hulkster has yet to do the same.
Charlie and Denise Split the Bill
However much their paths diverge, Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards will always have court.
During a brief hearing today, a judge ordered the estranged exes to split $150,000 in attorney's fees and costs related to their ongoing custody battle.
Anne Heche, Ex Get Squared Away
Anne Heche is still on the hook, but it's a far less sharp hook than before.
About a month after telling the court she was in dire financial straits (for a Hollywood type), Heche has been ordered to cut a check for the lump sum of $275,000, plus $3,700 in monthly child support payments, to ex-husband Coley Laffoon.
The Rock's Divorce Solidifies
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has left no stone unturned.
The actor's divorce from his wife of 11 years was finalized May 19, and Dany Johnson has reclaimed her maiden name of Garcia, according to a detailed settlement agreement filed in Miami-Dade County and obtained by E! News.
The ex-spouses, who announced their separation last June, have one child together, 7-year-old Simone Alexandra Garcia Johnson.
Bombshell Allegations in Bill Murray Divorce
Something about Bill Murray's marriage clearly got lost in translation.
Jennifer Butler Murray, the Oscar nominee's wife of more than 10 years, has filed for divorce in Charleston, S.C., blaming behavior much more damning than mere irreconcilable differences.
According to court documents obtained by the Charleston Post and Courier, the former Saturday Night Live star is accused of "adultery, addiction to marijuana and alcohol, abusive behavior, physical abuse, sexual addictions and frequent abandonment."
Murray, who may now regret his decision to work without a publicist or agent, has yet to comment on the filing.
However, his attorney, John McDougall, said Murray "is deeply saddened by the breakup of his marriage."
"He and his wife made loving parents, and they are committed to the best interests of their children."
The Murrays married July 4, 1997, and have four children.
Jennifer alleged in her May 12 complaint that Murray "would often leave the state or country without telling" her or his children and was unfaithful to her on several occasions, writing that he "travels overseas where he engaged in public and private altercations and sexual liaisons."
And the accusations don't stop there.
Lisa Simpson's Voice Files for Divorce
Despite having all the answers on The Simpsons, Yeardley Smith could only come up with one solution this time around.
The character actress and vocal talent behind the animated Lisa Simpson for the past two decades has filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Daniel Erickson.
Per the petition filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, Smith cited the most-checked box ever—irreconcilable differences—as the reason for the split. Their date of separation is "under determination."
The duo have no children. Smith has requested she not be ordered to pay spousal support and is looking to have her legal name changed back to Yeardley Smith, because she has apparently been toting the "Erickson" around since tying the knot in 2002.
