Mariah and Nick's Roller-Coaster Romance
Tue., May. 13, 2008 1:39 PM PDT
Still no word of a honeymoon, but newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are planning a big blowout tonight.
A source tells E! News that the two lovebirds are renting all of Six Flags Magic Mountain theme park for a private party.
All the roller coasters you can ride until you throw up...sounds romantic! Guess these two really are "eternally 12 years old" after all.
And this is just one stop on their busy schedule: Last Saturday, they were at Ellen DeGeneres' 50th birthday bash and then hit Villa on Monday night for some drinks and dancing.
Coming up, Nick's jet-setting back to New York City to deejay at the Stoli Hotel soiree Friday.
No word on whether Mimi will join her man that night, but the way they've been attached at the hip lately, it wouldn't surprise us.
Sex in Another City
Mon., May. 12, 2008 1:00 PM PDT
Sex and the City: The Movie premiered today...but not in New York. Instead, New Line chose to hold the first premiere across the pond in London. (Where Sarah Jessica Parker attempted to blend with the shrubbery in an Alexander McQueen dress, Fred Leighton diamonds and Phillip Treacy hat.)
You'd think they'd unveil the film in the city where it all takes place, the one that's often referred to as the "fifth character," but no...the Big Apple viewing actually doesn't happen until May 27.
And if you're a New Yorker feeling annoyed that the Brits are seeing the movie more than two weeks before you, take heart: They're not premiering the flick in Los Angeles at all.
There is, however, a Skyy-sponsored screening here in L.A. the day before it opens in theaters, along with a postpremiere Q&A with Kristin Davis. You better believe I RSVP'd for that one months ago, so check back for all the details!
Recognize the Reveler: Baby Got Back (Tats)
Fri., May. 9, 2008 1:21 PM PDT
Here's A Hint: This tiny tattooed actress was a child star who's still making movies. She usually leans toward independent films, but has a big summer blockbuster coming out this weekend.
Think you know who's sporting a tattooed torso at her Tribeca premiere? Get the answer right here!
Britney Hangs With Her Boys
Fri., May. 9, 2008 10:27 AM PDT
Following her second successful stint on How I Met Your Mother comes further signs that Britney Spears is working on a comeback.
Last night, Brit was on hand for the finale of MTV's Rock the Cradle, which her on/off manager Larry Rudolph produces. (The pop star stayed backstage during the taping and didn't take any photos.)
Later, she headed over to Sur in Beverly Hills, where she had dinner with another power player: George Maloof, who owns the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Since it seems like he's willing to overlook her disastrous VMAs performance there last year, maybe a Sin City show wouldn't be such a bad idea for Brit?
Finally, Britney will get to spend time with her other boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, on Sunday. She's reportedly been given permission to spend all of Mother's Day with her sons.
Heidi and Spencer's True Colors
Thu., May. 8, 2008 5:26 PM PDT
Not only do Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt share photo ops and a hatred of Lauren Conrad, they also use the same hairdresser.
After lunch at Cafe Vida in Pacific Palisades, the pair hit Piero in Santa Monica, where they got their locks lightened by the same colorista. Spencer had his hair done first, while Heidi waited and flipped through magazines...perhaps in hopes of finding a few pictures of herself?
Our spy says Spence ignored Heidi and texted on his phone the entire time. Apparently, his attachment to his iPhone is one part of the MTV reality show that's actually real.
John's Performing Just for Jen
Thu., May. 8, 2008 1:11 PM PDT
Things are heating up between Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer since their steamy weekend in South Beach last month. According to In Touch magazine, John's planning to perform at the upcoming wrap party for Jen's new movie Marley & Me.
The soiree isn't until Saturday, but Life & Style reports the rocker's already back in Miami and shacking up at the Mandarin Oriental hotel, where Jen just so happens to be staying.
The party was originally set for Friday, but everything was moved around so her man could have plenty of time to prep for the performance. He's reportedly set to perform three songs at the Nikki Beach bash.
"It's hot and heavy, but in a very cool way," says a source. Sounds like it—even if the two aren't serious per se, Jen's getting some serious benefits out of being John's friend.
9021-Oh No, They Didn't!
Thu., May. 8, 2008 11:19 AM PDT
Last night, Ian Ziering confidently swaggered up to new Hollywood hot spot Crown Bar with two friends in tow, only to encounter some turbulence at the velvet rope.
"Plus one," repeats the doorman as Ian tries to reason with him to allow both his pals into the club. After a quick solo trip inside (presumably to try to reason with the powers that be), Ian admits defeat and leaves with his friends.
Hey, it always sucks to do the walk of shame—especially in front of the cameras—but he gets points for being polite and not ditching his pals. Perhaps he should try the Peach Pit next time?
Nicole's All Smiles at Stella's Soiree
Wed., May. 7, 2008 1:38 PM PDT
Seems Nicole Richie's not worried in the least about Joel Madden.
Hours after a picture of Joel and Lindsay Lohan looking deceptively cozy got out yesterday, Nic arrived for a screening of The Party at Stella McCartney's West Hollywood store with her man in tow.
The twosome happily posed for pics together at the fete, where a smiling Nic also hung with Stella, Angie Harmon and Rashida Jones.
Looks like there's no trouble in paradise after all.

Xtina's Babysitter Works Overtime
Wed., May. 7, 2008 11:12 AM PDT
It was another late night for Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman.
The new parents were at Villa Tuesday—where they stayed until an hour past closing time. When the twosome finally exited the club at 3 a.m., with Jordan helpfully carrying his wifey's purse, a pack of paparazzi was waiting for them.
Just last week, Xtina hit Crown Bar and needed Jordan's help keeping her balance as she left. We wonder what's up with their wild nights...are they blowing off steam or just trying to maintain the same schedule as baby Max?
Either way, their babysitter must be making bank.

Joel Celebrates Cinco de Mayo Solo
Tue., May. 6, 2008 10:21 AM PDT
Celebs not invited to the fancy-schmancy Costume Institute gala in New York spent their Cinco de Mayo at the Hornitos tequila soiree in Los Angeles instead. The party, cohosted by Joel and Benji Madden, was held at new Hollywood hot spot Crown Bar, with Samantha Ronson on the turntables.
Benji brought along his attached-at-the-hip honey Paris Hilton, but Nicole Richie stayed home to babysit Harlow while Joel carried out his hosting duties.
Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan arrived with BFF Sam and snagged a table right next to the DJ booth. And although she proceeded to talk to Joel, they looked strictly friendly, despite what the photo suggests. "He is so devoted to Nicole, and that baby was all he talked about," says a source.
In fact, when Joel left the party, he told guests he'd be getting up early the next morning to watch Harlow so Nic could sleep in. He did kiss Lindsay goodbye, but on the cheek.
Still, L.L.'s table proved a popular hangout:

Lindsay Parties with Diddy and Cameron Before Getting Ugly
Mon., May. 5, 2008 11:20 AM PDT
Lindsay Lohan may have been hard at work on the set of Ugly Betty Saturday, but not before hitting Diddy's exclusive party the night before. The hip-hopper, who received a star on the Walk of Fame earlier that day, threw an "intimate" bash for 250 friends—whom he personally invited.
The party was held at billionaire Ron Burkle's Beverly Hills estate, and although L.L. came to celebrate, she was on her best behavior. According to one partygoer who observed her that night, she wasn't drinking.
Also spotted at the swanky soiree: Cameron Diaz, who's partying in public for the first time since her father's sudden death. She did attend the premiere of What Happens in Vegas on Thursday, but opted out of going to the film's after-party.
Apparently, when Diddy throws a party, no one can resist dropping by.
More Beckham Birthday Parties
Fri., May. 2, 2008 11:16 AM PDT
Another day, another Beckham birthday party...but for once, it's not for Posh.
David celebrated 33 years of sexiness last night with a low-key family dinner at the Ivy on the Shore.
Posh and the boys were all there to share Becks' night with him.
Lucky Cruz even scored the prime seat in the house during dinner on David's lap. Is it wrong that we're jealous?
His actual birthday is today, so this was techinically a pre-birthday party. Think he'll have three more fancy fetes like his wife did?
