Miley Cyrus' New Singing Partner

Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour Disney Enterprises, Inc
More from Marc Malkin

Miley Cyrus is teaming up with—ready for this?—John Travolta.

Not only are they both voicing characters in the upcoming animated flick Bolt, but Travolta’s wife, Kelly Preston, tells me they could be making music together.

“Johnny may sing with Miley,” Preston said at yesterday’s Step Up Women’s Network’s Inspiration Awards luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

Preston and Travolta’s 8-year-old daughter, Ella, is a longtime Cyrus fan. They first met Cyrus when the Hannah Montana star was opening for Cheetah Girls during their concert tour about two years ago. “We [now] know Miley very well,” Preston said, “and she’s a sweetheart.”

It sounds like Selena Gomez is movin’ in on Miley Cyrus’ musical territory.

As I first told you, Disney execs are looking to make Gomez their next breakout, especially in response to the Hanna Montana star's recent controversy with the Vanity Fair pic.

Well, there's more...

Osmond Blasts Cyrus' Siring Skills

Marie Osmond, Billy Ray Cyrus Jeff Frank/ZUMAPress.com, Steve Granitz/WireImage.com

Pot, meet kettle.

Marie Osmond, that doll-making savior of Middle America, has uncharacteristically lashed out at Billy Ray Cyrus' parenting skills in the wake of daughter Miley's back-baring photo flap.

"My parents never, never left us alone," the little-bit-country one told AOL Television. "We always had some form of a guardian or something with us, a guardian that would represent what they would have done. But in [Miley's] case, her dad stepped out [of the photo session], and that's when it happened.

"How do you say no to somebody like Annie [Leibovitz] when you're a little girl? It's an interesting thing that happened with her."

Also interesting, perhaps at least to Cyrus, is that Osmond's own adopted teenage son checked himself into rehab just last year.

In his defense, when there's no form of a guardian around—when they're busy, say, fainting on national television—it's hard to say no to somebody like Jack [Daniels].

Burning Q's: Vanishing Tats & MILF-y Hotness

Cameron Diaz, What Happens in Vegas 20th Century Fox
More from Ask the Answer Bitch

What's up with MILF-qualified Cameron Diaz being cast in What Happens in Vegas? Since she's closer to 40 than she is to 30, the movie looks creepy/ridiculous.
—K.S.

Funny, I just assumed Ashton Kutcher was a method actor. His real-life wife, Demi Moore, is 45, you know. Let's answer more, more, more of your burning Q's!

Is Hannah Montana being replaced because of Miley's Vanity Fair picture?

Miley Sends Shout-out to "Amazing" Fans

Miley Cyrus Garth Vaughan/Disney

Miley Cyrus was fully dressed and ready for her close-up Saturday night.

Performing onstage for the first time since last week's Vanity Fair photo flap, the Hannah Montana star headlined a Disney-sponsored concert in Orlando, and thanked her screaming minions for their support.

"First of all, I think all of us here can say thank you," she said before beginning her set. "I can't think of how many would stand in the rain to come in here. Thank you all for coming out tonight, you're all amazing."

Miley Called Out (Again), Mandy Responds

Just when you thought the Miley Cyrus storm was gonna blow over, the teen queen is getting called out again.

This time by the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Adam Sandler and even, gulp, Diana Ross.

Miley and her pal Mandy Jiroux's ongoing YouTube "feud" with dance crew ACDC has just been taken to the next level. Led by Step Up 2: The Streets director Jon Chu, ACDC has just released a celebrity-laden video featuring the likes of Amanda Bynes, Brittany Snow and Chris Brown, as well as Lohan, Sandler and Ross.

But don't think Miley and Mandy are going to back down. E! talked exclusively with Mandy and she told us what to expect. Read on for her response.

Miley to Skip Red Carpet "Return"

Miley Cyrus Kevin Mazur/WireImage.com

Maybe Miley Cyrus has had enough of flashbulbs for awhile.

The Disney Channel phenom will not be attending a network media party in Orlando Friday, what was to have been her first public appearance since the incredibly controversial results of her recent photo shoot for Vanity Fair.

Cyrus' name had been on the guest list for weeks, long before Annie Leibovitz's eye for art threw the blogosphere into a tizzy and started a massive debate over whether the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star was still a proper role model for her fellow youngsters.

Disney, which is hosting the party for the stars and execs in town to film the Disney Channel Games, a celeb-studded charity competition, had no further comment on that particular scheduling change.

According to a network rep, however, Cyrus is still "100 percent performing on Saturday night" at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. The concert will be televised this summer as part of the special-event series.

So, obviously the teen queen hasn't entirely shucked the spotlight. She was also photographed at Disney World earlier today.

Then again, maybe she just really wanted to feel like a kid again.

Miley Turns Her Back on Destiny

Miley Cyrus FAME PICTURES

All Hope is gone for Miley Cyrus. All Destiny, too.

The slightly tarnished Disney star is about to find out what exactly is in a name, as a Los Angeles judge officially signed off on her moniker switch this morning, legally waving goodbye to Destiny Hope Cyrus and ushering in the official era of Miley Ray. (Check out the court docs.)

Hopefully, not a moment too late.

The name change petition was first filed on behalf of the 15-year-old on March 14 by parents Billy Ray and Leticia Cyrus in Los Angeles Superior Court.

As for justification for the request, the couple wrote that "Destiny Hope Cyrus has been commonly known as Miley Cyrus since she was a young child. The change of name is requested to make her commonly used name the same as her legal name."

Finally, a Cyrus parenting decision Disney can get behind.

Madonna on Miley: "Leave Her Alone"

As America continues to chime in on Miley Cyrus' Vanity Fair photo flap, Madonna is the latest celeb who has the tween sensation's (bare) back.

"It’s all too much. Just make it stop. Leave her alone. That’s what I think," the Material Mom said today to E! News' Ryan Seacrest.

Noting that she's mommy to 11-year-old Lourdes, the Queen of Pop purveyor added:

"I don’t know if people are thinking things through. Why are they offended?

"I mean, she’s gonna be 16 soon, then 17, and then 18. And then she might show her knees, and then what’s going happen?"

Take it from Madonna. After all, she used to be like a virgin, too.

Miley Cyrus' Half Brother Scares Us a Little

Trace Cyrus Gregg DeGuire/WireImage.com

Think the Cyrus family is scandalized by Miley’s bare back? That’s nothing. Take a look at this video of Miley’s half brother Trace Cyrus. The kid looks like he took a nasty spill at a paint-and-metal-spike shop and hasn’t recovered since.

Weird thing is, he bears a striking resemblance to his half sister, if you look past the tats and facial piercings. He’s even a musician (albeit for a band you’ve never heard of, Metro Station).

But we love that Smiley Miley has a black-sheep brother. Maybe they could get in an act together. You know, Hannah Montana and Tommy Tennessee. She could teach him how to get in touch with his spunky inner child, and he could teach her...um, how to shoplift from Hot Topic.

Miley Still Working for the Mouse

Miley Cyrus is ready for another, more age-appropriate close-up.

Just a few days after her Vanity Fair photo flap exploded to epic proportions—and a few days after rumors swirled that Disney would be keeping a closer watch over the Mouse House moneymaker—the tween queen is getting ready to return to the spotlight, prepping to make her first postscandal public appearance at a concert this weekend.

E! News has confirmed that the 15-year-old, who has been working in Nashville this week on her upcoming Hannah Montana movie, will go forward as planned with a special concert set to take place at (where else?) the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando on Saturday.

Cyrus was definitely not in a chatty mood when she was corned by a camera crew in a Target parking lot.

Is Miley Cyrus Good for Sex and the City?

More from Marc Malkin

Not everyone has a problem with Miley Cyrus naming Sex and the City as her favorite show.

“It’s awesome,” hunky Sex star Jason Lewis said last night at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills during a kickoff cocktail soiree for the upcoming Chrysalis Butterfly Ball. “A Miley Cyrus endorsement means everything...She seems like a pretty mature 15-year-old.”

And how.

But Cyrus wasn’t the only headline maker on people’s minds during the fete...
