How Dudes Do the Tropic Thunder Red Carpet

Last night’s Tropic Thunder premiere brought out so many big names, the red carpet was awards-season worthy. But being a funny (some may even say offensive) movie, the guys decided to keep it cazh with sneakers.

Of course, we believe one of these men outshone the others. Some thoughts, after the jump...

Teens Give It Up for Gossip Girl, Jonas Boys

The question now is, can Justin keep up with the Jonases?

Hot on the trail of a certain hunky pop star, the Jonas Brothers took home six ceremonial surfboards Sunday at the 10th Annual Teen Choice Awards, aka TC08, giving the fraternal rockers just 15 more to go until they match Justin Timberlake's grand total of 21 collected over the last decade.

More than 30 million Internet-savvy youngsters, preferably between the ages of 13 and 19, deemed the dapper trio Choice Breakout Band, Male Hotties and Male Red Carpet Icons, as well as the purveyors of the Choice Single ("When You Look Me in the Eyes," beating out Timberlake), Summer Song ("Burnin' Up") and Love Song ("When You Look Me in the Eyes").

Joe, Nick and Kevin's tally was matched only by the CW's teen soap with claws Gossip Girl, which also notched six wins (on a bedpost, naturally): Choice TV Drama, Breakout Show, breakout acting nods for Chace Crawford and Blake Lively (who was also named best actress in a drama) and top villain for the diabolical Ed Westwick.

"I feel like I'm still a teenager, because I'm perpetually in high school," Crawford, 23, said backstage.

Christian Bale, Wife "Solid" at Knight's Spain Premiere

Christian Bale's family ties are a little loose right now, but his marital relations appear to be holding fast.

Sources close to the Dark Knight star tell E! News that, contrary to new headlines suggesting that his eight-year marriage to Sandra Blazic is on the rocks, "his and Sibi's marriage is solid."

Marital troubles are just one of the reasons being bandied about to explain the seemingly random alleged showdown between Bale and his mother, Jenny, and sister Sharon at a London hotel that resulted in the actor's arrest Tuesday when he turned himself in for questioning.

WTF Are You Wearing, Maggie Gyllenhaal?

Seriously, Maggie? A silky, slouchy jumpsuit to the London premiere of the movie with not only the highest opening-weekend gross ever, but also the current No. 1 film of all time on IMDb? Somebody said this was OK?

Well, we’re not mad, Mags. We're disappointed. You see, there are some of us here that have always stuck up for you. Even when a bad magazine cover comes along or a slightly off (OK, often really off) choice of dress pops up at some Indie event, we’ve had your back.

And you really came through for us at New York’s The Dark Knight premiere with that elegant, strapless floral gown. But this jumpsuit is unforgivable. We’re not even going to bother telling the IMDb haters to quit making fun of you.

At least it's not all bleak, though—your hair looks nice.

Kanye Feels the T-Pain at BET Awards

T-Pain has a knack for showing up in the right place at the right time.

"I'd like to thank T-Pain for gettin' on the record with me," said Kanye West, a two-time winner Tuesday at the 2008 BET Awards, upon accepting their award for Best Collaboration on the Graduation tune "Good Life." "This man's a genius. What he does, what he writes...we're blessed to be in this man's presence."

The 22-year-old rapper-producer, a featured artist on no less than 18 singles (so far) in 2007 and 2008, entered the evening with a leading five nominations, although his shared win with West was it for now.

West was also named Best Male Hip-Hop Artist for the second time, his first win in that category coming in 2005, when Late Registration was still a new album.

Ellen, Tyra, Rachael Ray Share Daytime Emmy Glory

It's going to take an army—or at least a stronger contingent than they've got over at The View—to take down Ellen DeGeneres.

The master of witty self-deprecation won her fourth consecutive trophy for Outstanding Talk Show Host, once again besting Barbara Walters & Co. and Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, at the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

"I never take this for granted...Every single year, I know people joke about it…It's not what we do it for, but it feels so good," DeGeneres said while thanking her fans, crew, family and fiancée, Portia de Rossi.

"We all know this has been a crazy year. On my show, we've done a lot of crying and a lot of laughing, and I've cried all by myself and people laugh, and then I cry some more...I know you're counting me down, but it's the longest day of the year, I just read, so I can go on," she continued, referring to tonight's summer solstice.

Oscars: No More Musical Threesomes!

Is this Enchanted's fault?

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced it is changing the rules in the Music, Original Song category. Although there is no limit on the number of songs a production may submit for consideration, a film will now only be eligible for two nominations in the category.

As you may recall at the most recent Oscars ceremony, Enchanted had three nominated songs, which were all performed on the telecast. Despite the strength in numbers, they were passed over in favor of "Falling Slowly" from the wee Irish film Once.

Depp, Smith, Downey Hot at Fiery MTV Movie Awards

Johnny Depp Lester Cohen/WireImage.com

The only thing hotter than the predawn blaze that closed down the area surrounding the Gibson Amphitheatre before the 2008 MTV Movie Awards was double-threat Johnny Depp.

The masses-approved heartthrob had to wait out a thundering standing ovation before being able to give thanks for his Best Comedic Performance win, his third Golden Popcorn to date for playing Captain Jack Sparrow. And with Juno scribe Diablo Cody having already clutched her hand to her heart the first time, the reception was only a bit milder when Depp took the stage again, when he was named Best Villain for his turn as the murderous Sweeney Todd.

"I'm not really sure how this happened because you can ask anybody—I'm not a very funny person," a clean-shaven Depp said in accepting his first award of the night.

Michelle Williams Cannes Walk the Red Carpet

Michelle Williams AP Photo/Lionel Cironneau

Walking her first red carpet since Heath Ledger's death, Michelle Williams was glowing in an über-feminine Chanel lace number at last night's premiere of her new film Wendy and Lucy at the Cannes Film Festival.

Williams had just arrived in the south of France after deciding only Monday that she would make the trip to join director Kelly Reichardt in feting their film.

"She came in and had a long nap and then came to the screening," the actress' rep said.

Williams also appears in mind-trip master Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut, Synecdoche, New York, which is screening in competition at Cannes and getting early Palme d'Or buzz. On Friday she made the promotional rounds for the surreal comedy before flying back to the U.S. to resume working on the Martin Scorsese drama Shutter Island in Boston.

"It actually does feel kind of special to have two films at the same time," Williams told reporters. The experience is "something you can look back on at the end of your life and think, 'That was a cool thing I did when I was 27.'"

Miley to Skip Red Carpet "Return"

Miley Cyrus Kevin Mazur/WireImage.com
Maybe Miley Cyrus has had enough of flashbulbs for awhile.

The Disney Channel phenom will not be attending a network media party in Orlando Friday, what was to have been her first public appearance since the incredibly controversial results of her recent photo shoot for Vanity Fair.

Cyrus' name had been on the guest list for weeks, long before Annie Leibovitz's eye for art threw the blogosphere into a tizzy and started a massive debate over whether the 15-year-old Hannah Montana star was still a proper role model for her fellow youngsters.

Disney, which is hosting the party for the stars and execs in town to film the Disney Channel Games, a celeb-studded charity competition, had no further comment on that particular scheduling change.

According to a network rep, however, Cyrus is still "100 percent performing on Saturday night" at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. The concert will be televised this summer as part of the special-event series.

So, obviously the teen queen hasn't entirely shucked the spotlight. She was also photographed at Disney World earlier today.

Then again, maybe she just really wanted to feel like a kid again.
