David Duchovny Out of Rehab

Here's hoping David Duchovny has found the proper help for what ails him.

The Californication star has checked out of the facility where he was undergoing treatment for a sex addiction, according to the actor's lawyer, Stanton "Larry" Stein.

"David is out of rehab and about to start a new movie," Stein said in a statement Monday. "He successfully completed his treatment."

Duchovny revealed Aug. 28 that he was voluntarily seeking help.

"I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family," he said at the time.

His wife of more than 11 years, Téa Leoni, opted out of a scheduled appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival less than a week later.

Lindsay Lohan Looks Grumpy, Feels Happy

Someone forced Lindsay Lohan to take an afternoon away from shopping with Samantha Ronson to shoot a Marie Claire cover, and she doesn’t look too happy about it. But you know what does make her happy?

SamRo! “She’s a great person,” Lilo says in the profile. “And she’s a great influence on people around her. But I think that anything that’s changed in my life is because of me. I’ve gone through it and I’ve had to deal with it and I’ve made the decision to move forward. So yeah, she’s a great person.”

Téa Leoni Opts Out of Toronto Fest

Téa Leoni doesn't much feel like being in the spotlight this week.

According to her rep, the leading lady has pulled out of her scheduled appearances at the Toronto International Film Festival, where she was going to be promoting her upcoming comedy Ghost Town.

Although no explanation was given, the dots are easily connected: David Duchovny, Leoni's husband of 11 years, revealed last week that he had checked into rehab to treat a sex addiction.

"I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family," Duchovny said in a statement Thursday. He and Leoni have two young children.

The Toronto fest kicks off Sept. 4, lasting until Sept. 13, and Ghost Town is slated to premiere Friday. The skeptic-sees-spooks comedy, costarring Ricky Gervais, hits theaters Sept. 19.

The truth is out there, whether we want it or not.

David Duchovny has checked into rehab to undergo treatment for sex addiction, E! News has confirmed.

"I have voluntarily entered a facility for the treatment of sex addiction," Duchovny said in a statement released Thursday by his attorney, Stanton "Larry" Stein. "I ask for respect and privacy for my wife and children as we deal with this situation as a family."

The 48-year-old X-Files star—who, ironically, won a Golden Globe this year for playing an over-sexed struggling writer on Showtime's Californication—has been married to Téa Leoni since May 1997. They have two children together, daughter Madelaine West, 9, and son Kyd Miller, 6.

"All of us at Showtime wish David and his family the best during this very private time," Richard Licata, the network's executive VP of Corporate Communications, said in a statement to E! News.

Ex-Guns N' Roses Drummer Arraigned

Steven Adler ZumaPress.com

It's not so easy being Steven Adler.

The former Guns N' Roses drummer pleaded not guilty to drug charges today in Los Angeles Superior Court stemming from a bust last month at his Hollywood home.

Adler, 43, was ordered to remain in a drug-treatment facility for at least another month (much to the relief of Dr. Drew, no doubt), until a Sept. 17 preliminary hearing. The musician faces one felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, an opiate, and a misdemeanor count of being under the influence of drugs.

Lane Garrison's Recovery Stunted by the System

So much for the proud notion of rehabilitation.

As E! News exclusively reported, last week was supposed to be Lane Garrison's introduction to the substance-abuse program at the state prison in Tehachapi, Calif., where the former Prison Break actor is serving a 40-month sentence for vehicular manslaughter involving alcohol.

Unfortunately, it was also his last.

Garrison's long-awaited transfer into the substance-abuse program is over before it really began, E! News has learned. It turns out that the program within the California Department of Corrections was one of many services that were cut when Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed and issued an executive order to ensure that the state has enough money to operate in the near future without a budget.

"They came back from lunch, and there was just a sign on the door. And that was just that," said a source close to another inmate who was previously in the program.

Artie Lange Enters Rehab

Not much is sacred to Artie Lange, but the health of Howard Stern's right-hand man is apparently no laughing matter.

Lange's publicist has confirmed to E! News that the longtime shock-jock sidekick has admitted himself to an intensive outpatient rehab facility.

There's no word on where the New York-based comedian is being treated, or what he's being treated for.

News of his in-treatment status comes after Lange canceled a string of stand-up dates, as well as a planned appearance on the Comedy Central roast of Bob Saget, which taped in Los Angeles Sunday night.

Mindy McCready's hope for a comeback just got pushed back, after a drug and booze binge landed the troubled country songbird first in the emergency room of a Tennessee hospital and then in an Arizona rehab center.

"Mindy McCready did receive emergency care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center," her publicist tells E! News. "Other issues made it prudent for her to seek longer-term and broader-based treatment."

"To her credit," says the singer's publicist, "she has entered into an extended-care facility where she will receive the care needed. And for the moment we ask that everyone respect her privacy."

Heather Locklear Out of Treatment

The star of Melrose Place is apparently out of her melancholy one.

Heather Locklear has checked out of an Arizona rehab facility after four weeks, during which time she was receiving treatment for anxiety and depression.

"There is no statement and we will not be commenting about Heather's location," the actress' rep told E! News.

But according to People, Locklear wasted no time getting reunited with her 10-year-old daughter, Ava. The child is reportedly now back with her mom after being in the care of father Richie Sambora for the past month.

The 46-year-old small-screen vet checked into Sierra Tucson in late June. She was photographed during a visit by current beau and former costar Jack Wagner earlier this month as the two made an excursion to a nearby spa, but has otherwise kept a low profile.
